Prior to joining IDEO ’s Californian design team in 1997, John was the Head of Design at IDEO ’s London office. His current focus is on helping IDEO clients build stronger brands through the design of innovative product and user experiences. John has designed a wide range of products for clients in the US, Europe, and Asia and he has helped develop product brand strategies for companies such as Intermec and Samsung.

    In this session John Stoddard will talk about innovation. His current focus is helping IDEO clients build stronger brands through the design of innovative product-user experiences. Many businesses, including media, are encountering new types of competitors, facing faster technology change, and finding traditional markets vanishing in front of their eyes.
    Increased innovation is one cause of this, but also a way to deal with it. This session makes you aware of how to involve users directly to inspire and test ideas before it gets too expensive to change track.
