If chapter one of the search story was about Google – the hub in the Web 1.0 network – chapter two is about the many businesses that will become the new hubs in the post Web 2.0 world. The poster child of chapter two is the modern media company that has begun to use – and needs – search as a business platform. Search helps to engage more effectively with readers and advertisers, to build strong communities and to showcase content in a multi-platform world.
During this presentation we’ll take a closer look at emerging online media models, search opportunities for local media companies, leveraging multimedia content and new media monetization models.
